Apply and upload all documents through Irembo (www.irembo.gov.rw) → Foreign Affairs Consular Services → Legalization of documents from abroad to be used in Rwanda
Once the application has been submitted, the Embassy will contact the applicant to arrange the drop‑off of the original documents, as well as any additional materials that may be required.
The following are required documents to submit in person at the Embassy for the Legalization of an Official document of a Power of Attorney:
• A signed application letter addressed to "H.E. the Ambassador of Rwanda to the Republic of Korea"; indicating the current full physical and postal address, phone number, e-mail address and occupation.
• Copy of valid Passport (Only personal information page) or National ID Card
• Copy of valid Residence Card for a Rwandan or another Foreign national
• Copy of Student ID Card or Employment Certificate
For Power of Attorney / Procuration:
• Sign the original letter for the Original Power of Attorney / Procuration in front of the officer upon dropping-off the original documents.
• In the letter, you need to clearly write full names of a person whom you are giving the authorization to act on your behalf, with his / her full National Identity card number (and Copy of the ID Card) as well as the place and date of issue.
• You also need to clearly state specific the activity / transaction of which you are giving him / her the authorization for, and in which specific period of time.
*Documents that need notarization and issued in the Republic of Korea shall be notarized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Korea first before applying at the Embassy.
