Bilateral Relations

Rwanda established diplomatic relations with Republic of Korea in 1963.
The relationship grew stronger with the opening of a diplomatic bureau in November 2008 and later upgraded to an embassy in February 2009.
We now boast economic, political, educational, tourism, investment and trade ties.

Vision, Mission, and Mandate

The Embassy of the Republic of Rwanda in Seoul intends to sustain Rwanda’s image portrayed as a peaceful country globally, contribute to wealth creation and ensure that Rwanda is economically integrated on the globe, promote Information and Technology sector, promote Human Resource Development by Technical and Vocational Training and Higher Education and promote Rwanda Community Abroad Cultural Activities.

Jurisdiction

Kingdom of Cambodia

Diplomatic relations between the Republic of Rwanda and the Kingdom of Cambodia began in 2009. The desire to build strong links between Rwanda and Cambodia has been shared by both countries, by seeking ways to construct and affirm friendships, developing and exploring new avenues for cooperation in both bilateral and multilateral partnerships.

Lao People's Democratic Republic

Diplomatic relations between the Republic of Rwanda and the Lao People’s Democratic Republic (LAO PDR in short or LAOS), began in 2009. The desire to build strong links between Rwanda and Laos has been shared by both countries, by seeking ways to construct and affirm friendships, developing and exploring new avenues for cooperation in both bilateral and multilateral partnerships.
